Lauren Walker is a visual artist living in Los Angeles. Her work straddles the boundaries of fine art, architecture and interior design, and crosses a wide range of mediums, from large-scale installations and art direction to business and residential design and construction.
After receiving a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, she initially pursued a career in architecture. With time her interest in smaller scale, faster pace and more hands-on projects drove her to begin to apply her design skills to temporary spaces, working on installations and public art for events. Eventually she found her way into the design/build and custom fabrication industries.
Inspired by patterns naturally found in the physical world, she seeks to merge those patterns with the seemingly undiscovered parts of the human subconscious. Through exploring the understated complexity of geometry, her work captures a piece of soulful existence that is ever-present yet is so easily overlooked by the human eye.
